bubba porting?
Sorry to post this on this thread but I knew I'd catch the 2 of you Bubba/Scramblered. Thanks again for the clutching, pipe, porting help. What a differnece it made Scramblered, using the stock weights. It is just perfect now. I am very happy w/ it. I'm using the 42-36 helix, red primary, stock weights, violet secondary, HPD race pipe, V-force reeds, 39mm carb, 12:1 HPD trail port w/ cool head & girdle kit. Thanks again for the help it rips!!!

jim,
questions? how did you make your foot pegs , do you like them vs. floor boards, for flattrack racing do you think you could still get up on the tank for hair pin turns( for a short person- 5'9")while locking the rear brake. i have thought about doing this to my xplorer- using the rear floor board brace for foot pegs but had never seen it done - isthat what you did? give me some info.
thanks

I used the existing floor board braces re-welded back on under the foot pegs so there are 2 under each foot peg but I've seen people only use 1. Since I jump a lot I wanted to use 2 side by side. I had a friend make the pegs for me. Pegs are a HUGE advantage over the floorboard except for keeping your feet clean.
