Making the predator a 440 and think it cam compete?? LOL maybe if you removed one wheel from a yamaha 450. The predator has its place but not in the 440 class. The yamaha motor is better than the predator hands down. I wish yamaha would have done that good on the raptor motor. The predator comes from the factory fairly high strung to start with. I have ridden both and the yamaha will kill the predator. I do not own either but the yamaha450 would be in my garage before the predator. The predator needs to go to at least 580 if it wants to play with the big bores.

If you pay list or more for a yamaha450 or any quad you deserve it. It does not take much effort to find a quad below list. The predator had its 15 minutes of fame now it is the yamaha. Hopefully honda will release a killer 450 shortly.

When was the last time Yamaha gathered a group of riders and collected their input on a quad...I remember that last time they screwed a group of people over a quad. Ride what you want. Promote something in the industry to aid it's growth, and favorable view for the general public (don't give the tree-huggers any reasons). And have fun. You call out the Yamaha guy's in your post then complain when they come into YOUR Polaris forum! As a matter of fact you called out Ridely by name! Then talk about how YOUR QUAD IS BETTER THAN THE YAMAHA! "Besides, you're still loosing in the suspension, steering, axle, and brake departments."

Once the Japanese start making a quad, they change very little. Yamaha has a great new quad in the YZF and it will be around for a long time, just as you see it. Polaris changes their products all the time. We may see a 450 Predator specifically for racing, just because that's the way they are. They may release a version with an aluminum swingarm and some other goodies as well, just because that's the way they are. The new Pro-Production class is going to get the manufacturers involved in racing and that's a very good thing for everybody. We are going to get more race-ready quads and more aftermarket components made specifically for racing......If the Pro-production class takes off, Polaris will not want to be left behind.

Ridley just brings it on himself, by constantly jumping in with negativity, even when we have a constructive post going. It's all poking a jabbing for fun, cause we know you guys just can't take it. As for this flase statement kick, you're obsessing over, kinda think there's a density problem on your behalf. We carry on constructive, real world comparisons, and you can't come up with quality material to debate the facts. Hmmm, Predator with the simple addition of the front rezzi's increases it's suspension even further over the 450. And by stating the 450 has better steering than the Predator, that proves you've never ridden the Predator. Besides the virtual elimination of bumpster, you also have the additional bonus of vastly reducing impact feedback. It's actually better than having a steering dampner. Try tagging a street curb at a 45 degree angle on both machines.....you hardly even feel it in the Predator bars. So refresh my memory as to where the superiority lies. Polaris is getting better but they have a long ways to go. They come up with some of the best ideas then kill themselves with weight and unreliable parts. The warranty is great (compared to the rest) but they should not have to go to the dealer anyways. The predator 440 will do as well as a bombardier baha on the MX track. Let Mickey Dunlop make it a winner in the GNCC races and be happy.

Once again your lack of reading skills rears it's ugly head! I never said the 450 had better suspension nor did I say it had better steering! It was you spouting those virtues about the Predator! That would be a matter of OPINION! Your opinion is still just that your OPINION! Steering and suspension characteristics are for each individual rider. You can spew forth all your Polaris propaganda on why it should steer better and it means squat. What handles better and steers better to one person does not handle as well or feel as well suspended to another.

I came up with material to debate you, I gave actual list prices. Facts not opinions! Then you change your tune away from facts to thousands of e-mails from across the country and my sisters cousins brother ran into someone on the trail who knew someone that paid well over list, They must have bought it from from the dreaded quad poachers!

You start tossing the rocks then cry foul when people come here pick them up and throw them back at you.
