Default Torn between 4x4 quads

I am concidering buying a polaris sportsman 600 or 500, a Kodiak 450, or Kawasaki 700. I live in the country and will use it around the farm and for hunting. I would like one that will last for ever and not give out on me in the back woods upnorth. Any sugestions?

I have had two 500 HOs and both have been excellent machines. The off road capabilities are incredible due to the excellent ground clearance with independant rear suspension. My next machine will be the Sportsman 600. I would choose a 500 or 600 Sportsman.

polairs is great but if you do get a portsman it has the independent rear suspesion which will make the tires bow out a little if have a heavy load on the back... I do belive the make a lock for it tough. the praire is also good choice. later

You can't beat the ride or performance of the sportsman. The 600 is more machine then the HO, for the extra $500 upgrade to the 600, you won't look back......

I would suggest a 500 ho or a prairie, just because they bolth have a recoil pull starter. After all it would really suck to get out in the middle of BFE and not have a buddie with ya when your machine battery went dead. Just a thought.

All the machines you have named are well built, awsome machines just pick the one that's right for you.

Good luck.

yeah the recoil backup is a good thing on the polaris because we have had to replace the starters on both of our polaris atv's at least twice already...later

I've been riding polaris for a few years and never needed a pull start. I do carry a small tool kit with me just like most folks, one of the items is a lightweight pair of jumper cables.
