Has anyone tried the Mud Lite tires from ITP? How well do you like them and do they slide o.k.? I'm looking for a good mud/trail tire. Thanks

I've got 'em and so do lots of other guys. Do a search for Mud Lites and you'll find alot of informative posts. Also search the drivetrain, suspension and tires forum. I love mine, especially for the money. Got 'em from Dennis Kirk - free shipping also. I should add - since you asked about sliding - they do slide, but I doubt any mud tire slides like a knobby. What are you thinking of putting them on? Not your Pred, I hope!

Hell yea the Pred!! Why not? I'm from Utah and have lived here in florida for a little over three years and all there is down here is sand and mud. The razors just aren't cutting it!!! If I go in 3" of mud I get stuck. Do you guys have any other suggenstions? Thanks

Have you looked at the Maxxis Sur Trak, the Pure Sports Realter, the Titan 489 X/T, or the Kenda Bear Claw?

I'll check them out. Thanks. The reason I was leaning towards the Mud Lites is because they are suppose to be light and six ply. I really don't want a "MUD" tire, because I try to catch air and ride XC style riding as much as possible although there are a lot of times I encounter thick mud and then that's all she wrote.

Both my '93 Trailboss and '95 Sport400 had the Goodyear Wrangler radials and they went through alot more than 3" of mud. Just had to keep 'em spinning and keep your weight as far back as possible. You might want to look at the ITP ATR, it's not as aggressive as the Mud Lite but is probably more suited for what you're riding.
