My wife has an 03 trailboss and is constantly complaining about the right hand side being to hot on her leg. All of our neighbors also have 03 trailboss' and they have the same problem. Has anyone ever made a heat sheild to go over the pipe to cut down on this. We live in the desert where it is usually hot anyway so the extra heat is a problem. My 04 warrior has a heat shield on the pipe and I never have a heat problem.

 

I just ordered some Moose Utility brand adhesive exhaust heat shield brand adhesive from a local cycle shop [any Parts Unlimited dealer can get it], to replace the insulation that scorched in my 96 400 Sportsman on the right side.
