clicking in rear on sp700.........HELP
#16
Never had my rear one off only front. heard rear is bit more involved cost 80 for me just to have boot replaced. (parts and labor). Partsland.com has some exploded views of that area helped me with front one. Know you have to take the hub nut off to remove it also have to undo the lower A-arm outer bolts. Fraid that is bout as far as I can go. If the joint is bad may need to replace entire shaft, may be easier and more reliable in the long run.

I'm working on the same problem tonight. Jack the rear end up. If one of your back wheels has play in it it could be the bearing but I doubt it. The bearing cost around $65.00. Mine was the cv joint and thats not a repair you want to tackle, replacing a piece of the rear cv drive shaft. I was fortunate and found an entire cv axle assembly on ebay for $90.00. I'm just trying to find out how to pull my old axle out and be done with it. The boots are held on by metal clips that take a special polaris tool to take off and put on. Go to ronnies.com and price a new axle and it's about $250.00. Wish I had better news.
