if you run the standard polaris weights, the 60 g won't work for sure
even on race ported engine at 55-56 g of weights, the engine is pretty loaded to reach peak rpm, with the thundershift weights i can run to 60
g of weights at 7000 rpm,but that isn't for trail ride, only for short
drag races.

Sorry took so long to respond and i do appreciate the responses guys.I am running a dennis kirk violet primary spring up front and i love it plenty of stall for the gear i am running I have a hot seat secondary seat up with the 40/36 i believe helix and the white spring.2/2 holes I do want the black hot seat has that is next.Thinking about getting the rachet shifting clutch but didnt know if it was really worth the money.I only drag race it no other riding really at all.

The DG pipe is your first problem. You wont get near the rpm's and hp that the 400 is capable of doing. The dg pipes actually can lose hp. Ask anyone on this forum about dg on a Polaris and they will say the same thing. I would start with a GOOD quality pipe and then work on clutching. HPD,AAEN are pretty much the tops for pipes. Hotseat and RCR are good also but wont give as much hp gains that HPD or AAEN will. Trust me I have went the DG rout and it was more trouble and waist of money. The problem with DG is you dont know where the powerband kicks in and how much rpm's it will produce. A good pipe can produce over 7000 rpm,s with about a 10hp gain. A clutch kit MUST match the powerband of the pipe or it will be inaffective and can miss the powerband.

I would get a set of thundershift weights they are adjustable they would be better to tune it in with .
the more weight you put closer to the pin would be holeshot weight good grab of the belt and the more weight you put at the tip would be top end weight not sure how much you would need in either place but you would have to figure that out for your self cause there is alot of variables but these wieghts are fully adjustable .
Good luckThundershift

Thanx guys and i apreciate the link to the thunder weights.I have heard a lot about dg pipes but i happen to like . maybe because i never had another pipe on it or maybe because its set up works i did notice defference when i took the muffler off so i left it off but i may try some other pipes out .Does any one know about the rachet clutches?Make any substantial difference for drag racing or should i stay with stock clutch. You know use the money somewhere else better spent!
