kickin in n out of 4 wheel drive

Default kickin in n out of 4 wheel drive

we had my dads sportsman up on a jack with 4 wheel drive off and when we would give it gas the 4 wheel drive would kick in and out...anybody know why this couldve been happening and maybe how to fix it???

I too had that problem with my magnum 325 4x4 back in 00' when i took it to the dealer for the recall on the oil cooler lines i mentioned it to them, and they fixed it, i cant rember what exactly it was, but it was something in the hubs, where it wasnt kickin out all the way..

If i can rember what it is i will post again, but im sure the great people on here have ran into similar problems....

Default kickin in n out of 4 wheel drive

You may need to drain the hub fluid and replace it. I use Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF but Polaris also sells the hub fluid. Fill it to the 4 oclock position.

My Scrambler was jumping in and out of 4wd when driving in 2wd. I replaced the fluid and that fixed the problem.
