how does your quad start when it's really cold?
Our SP335 fires off just fine with the choke.
The Predator needs a heater blowing on it for an hour and then will fire right up. IF it's cold it will not start. Modquad and some others say to adjust the Air fuel screw so when I get the time I'll pull the carb, remove the plug and turn the screw. This not starting crap really pisses me off. I want to take it on a poker run this winter but I'm afraid that if I leave it sit too long I'll be walking home.
Oh well I will be digging into this in the next month or two then I let you know. It does make a good garage orniment though.

I have a new 600 sportsman, and it fires right up with just a little choke, but it really takes a while to warm up and run properly. It can get pretty cold up here on The Rock, guess we'll see how it starts when the mercury really takes a nose dive. At present it's un seasonably warm here. 10-15degC. Cheers.

Well The SP 500 starts with no choke but needs a few minutes to warm up. The trailboss is pretty cold blooded. You have to babysit it for about five minutes to keep it running. It really hasen't gotten that cold round here yet, just down in the 20's some mornings.

Went hunting yesterday it was -22 C. My Sportsman 500 HO sat on the trailer outside all night followed by a 2hr trip to my hunting area. Sad to say the HO wouldn't turn over and had to be pull started. 2 pulls is all it took to get her running which surprised me. My buddy had 2 Kow's and neither of those would turn over either. My problem was a dud battery which was replaced today. I suspect my buddies Kowi has a similar problem, time will tell. With a good battery though my Sp usually fires right up.

Hosed it's pretty pathetic because it was in between the 40's and 50's and the damn thing will not start!!!!
I'll throw a charger on it and the heater next time I get a chance in about 2 weeks.
