my 4x4 won't kick in, the front bar spins but it doesn't seem to catch.what's wrong?

That is a much asked question around here.

The best thing to do is "search" from the customize/gallery/mypage.... bar - type AWD and select the Polaris forums. There are tons of questions/answers on this topic.

Help us out a little more. By front bar do mean the drive shaft or the front axle? If you lift the rear end up while in awd, will the front try to pull?

 

If by "bar" he means driveshaft it sounds as though there is a bad connection somewhere and the hubs aren't getting any power. Does the AWD light come on when you switch it into 4WD?

 

Im havin the same problem and i dont know what it is.
I have a 95 scram and its chain drive in the front and it grinds and dis engages when im going up a hill anyone know whats wrong?

If anyone knows im so temped to sell it.

K&N filter
DG Bumper

 

I do know the battery has to be in and it has to be charged up. A weak battery wont allow the 4x4 to engage. The quad will run without a battery but the 4x4 wont work.
