Default Error Message on POD of 700

Was out riding 2 night ago and was in high gear, looked down at the instument cluster and there was a big E where H was suppose to be. It says E in every gear except low (L).
Looked in the owner's manual and it says this happens when the gear selector is between gears, well thats not the case. Also says transmission switch may need repair.
Has anyone had this problem?? Comments???

Thanks guys,

PAT

Yes, it was the Rotary Switch/Sensor on the tranny. It was getting water in there. I took it apart and cleaned it out then epoxied it back together.

I still get and "E" in reverse and neutral, but not in Low or High, so the AWD works. When I was getting an "E", the AWD would not engage, so plowing snow was really hard. In reverse, I just have to hit the Override button and it goes into AWD.

It doesn't bother me enough now to replace it, but if I was still getting the "E" in low or high, I would.

What positions are you getting the "E"?

Error in High and Low. They are around 60.00 I think so I might replace it.

Kerbirds did you have to put spacers running 26' tires on stock wheels?

Yes, put a 3/8 washer behind front wheels to clear the tie rod ends, you can also flip the tie rods over, then they will clear.

A Washer It makes sense but is it ok to do that. A washer to hold all the weight against.
