srambler throttle help

Default srambler throttle help

hey guys,the other day i went to go take a ride and i couldnt push in the throttle,im thinking it was frozen?when i finally got it working the first 5 minutes of the ride i would push in the throttle and it felt like the cable was broke as the thumb lever went to the bars,then it would kick in on me after pushing it in a couple times?anyone have any ideas?thanks

Default srambler throttle help

Check behind the oil injection pump cover.Located down low,it tends to capture dirt a water quite easily.Chances are the cam that actuates your oil pump is sitting in a little block of ice.Remember the two strokes have 2 cables operated by your thumb.It splits into 2 cables under the left side cover plastic.Hope this helps.Just use compressed air or a blow dryer to melt things away.Scott.

Yep, I had that happen to me also. Had to use the hair dryer to thaw out. 420, you might need to remove the cover and drain the water, then make sure to seal it up real well to keep that from happening again. If the oil cable breaks inside on you from trying to push it, then you'll be pushing the quad back when it locks up[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

thanks guys..i did pop off the cover,and there was no water or ice in there..
