Default Live wires

Does anybody know whether the acc outlet is live all the time or hooked to the ignition on a 99 SP. I got a thumb warmer for Christmas and am looking for a good place to wire it in, also I've seen people just use electrical tape to hold it on or should be glued on like the instructions say. Could somebody please give me an idea of where to wire it and how to hold it on.

Hi, if you will just pop off your front hood (under the front rack) you will see all the connections you need. Just take a test light or meter and find whatever stage of power you want. It will make a much nicer looking install also. Good luck and happy new year.

The acc conector is wired to the igition, like most cars it should be active when the key is turned to the on position. If you have the Polaris warmers for the ATV you should have piggy back connectors on it. Open your headlight pod and the connectors for the warmers simply piggy back onto the positive (red with white stripe) and the negative connector (brown) going to the accessorie connector. You shouldn't have to cut or splice any wires.
