Reverse Limiter on Polaris with Circut Board
#11
I think I have solved the problem.
I believe it was ChickenMan who reminded me of the third wire (green one) that comes from the override button. I had only a moment last night to uplug it and fire up the bike and . . . no limiter. She never had a chance to warm up and was "sputtering" a little, but I think the problem is solved. Will post confirmation and details of modification after the weekend.
Thanks all. This place is great!

well my rev limiter is most annoying on my trail boss. There is something seriously wrong with it, it likes to "limit rev's" while i'm going forward... and it don't matter if i hit it, it doesn't do anything. i usally have to just about stop, and hit it a whole bunch of times, then its fine... strange..

That forward rev limiter situation happened to a buddies Trail Boss after going thru some water really fast. After a few minutes the bike went back to normal. She may have gotten wet and was probably the button.
If your machine has a circuit board, trace the green wire from the button and disconnect it from the board. Be sure to tape it up though.
