Default 96 Trailblazer prob Please help..Im ready for dynamite

Hi I recently bought a 96 trailblazer and im having a prob with it. It will run with the choke on all day long(runs crapy but wont stall) about 4 seconds after you turn the choke off it dies like its out of gas. turn the choke on and it starts rite up. I have checked the petcock...it has good flo, have installed all new fuel line with filter and Im getting a ggod supply of gas to the carb. I have taken off the carb and cleaned it, I have tried 3 new plugs BR8ES I have cleaned the air filter, I have removed the plug and placed my finger over the hole while starting it and it blows my finger off the hole......Please help what else should I look at.

Couple of ideas since the machine is older. I would drain out the gas tank, and double check the new filter you installed, just in case there was that much debris. I would totally go through the carb. Also, have you checked the base-gasket to make sure that isn't blown? Something with that many years on it, I would be inclined to just do a top-end on it. Watch the intake boot for deterioration, and also the reeds.

It is the vacume line or it is your carb after a while of running these quads have trouble running especially if you are running old gas through them you may need to install a new one and or get it sevieced at a polaris dealer

Check your base gasket it could be blown that would have something to do with less compression and needing more gas to fire harder.

Well I found the problem today, i torn down the carb and soaked it over night again then I looked it over really good with a big magnifing glass and food a piece of sand lodged in the hole where the idle (pilot) jet is located, put it back together and it runs perfect. Thanks for the replys. I did test for a base gasket leak and found none. Thanks
