I put a K&N on my SP500 - I use them on my race karts, trucks, everything.

Did anyone use the prefilter/charger from the stock filter over the K&N or did you go with a K&N or Outerwear prefilter?

Is rejetting really necessary in low altitudes? Plug looks fine. That should be the determining factor, correct?

Thanks

I have the K&N and Outterwear prefilter, You should tweak your fuel / air screw so you get all you can from your 500 CCs, remember all stock main jets come fat from the factory, the increased air flow from the K&N will help lean you out but probly not enough. It's pretty common to drop 10 on the main right out of the crate.

I just put one on my Magnum 500, have not had a chance to ride it yet.

Will there be much noticable differences?

Also, any recommendations on tachometers to set idle speeds to 1200 rpm's?
