Ecorman,
I know exactly what your refering to when you refer to my power being back on.Certain people in here just make me ''RECHARGE'' my battery once in awhile.Though I allways try to keep a fully charged, mild manner attitude, some times its neccesary to ''overcharge'' with the power thing.

Hey Bill I picked up my 00 Yellow Xplorer and MAN!!! Does it look awesome. Thoes 96 Decals top it off. Chris L. From the forum is going to be posting some Pics of it very soon so you will be able to see it.
I have one question for you. I have put about 45 miles on it so far. Everything is great except when I take off in high range it seems like you really have to get the RPM's up in order for the clutch to engage. I don't know if it is a problem or just a new machine that I am not use to. Let me know if you think this is odd and if yours did this or if it is just a break in thing.
Thanks alot Bill and good luck with the clutch kit!!

Bosty,
with the stock clutch set up on your Xplorer,it should not really rev that high before engagement, unless perhaps it has the wrong spring in it right from the factory. If it is bothersome,go to the dealer and test ride another Xplorer, compare yours and the one at the dealership, your answer should be in your test ride of another Xplorer.Im just about ready to give up on the heel clickers kit.Its been over a month now and the dealer claims they still aint got the right springs in for this kit.Im growing very impatient waiting.Perhaps another brand will be in my future.====Bill

Bill, I have been following this post with interest and if I understand correctly you are waiting for a primary spring. Given that there are a myriad of shops that sell Polaris clutch springs, could you not simply find out the primary and secondary load ratings and check with some other sources? This may help you with your dilema.

Tempest,
I fear that Steve was jerking my chain about the kit.He seems to have some sort of excuse everytime I talk to him.I dont understand what could be SO hard about finding a primary spring with the correct load rating?Perhaps he dont know the correct load rating spring?I told him about the cover,he said he has taken a heat gun before to expand the outter side of the cover so that the kit dont hit the cover.I will make one last ditch effort tommorrow to ask him what specific load and color spring I need, then I will attempt to find the part myself. If I fail to find the part myself,I will look for another kit.====Bill

Bill, I'm sorry to see all of the headaches over this clutch kit. Take 2 extra strength aspirin and call HPD in the morning (612) 389-3336.
