02 sp700 help
#1
I have a 2002 sp700, which has been a great machine for the past two years...For the first time I have actually overheated it pretty good. To the point it start to boil the anti-freeze. Fan didnt come on when the temp light was on, and speedometer pin was flashing. Got it home and let it cool. Used buddys service manual to troubleshoot, and I ended up jumpering the fan switch in radiator to make sure it wasnt the fan itself. Fan came on just fine. What should be my next step, should I replace the switch, or refill coolant and try again???

Also be sure your radiator is clean of mud and debris. Also be sure it's not losing any coolant or leaking, i'd check the color of the oil too, just to be sure the head gasket isn't leaking.
but it is probably the fan switch
but it is probably the fan switch

Thank you for all the comments everyone....I pulled the fan switch out of radiator only to discover that one out of the two wires was ripped right off. Just need to replace sensor now. Thanks again.
