got spark got gas now what

Ok I've been following your story quietly. Sorry about your luck lately. They are good quads, they just need to be tuned right like anything else.
I'd say that if you have spark now, It could be a couple things, \
1. got spark but flywheel key is sheered so it fires at wrong time.. or,
2. had water in fuel tank, so that would explain popping and back fireing.. or,
3. all the tinkering with the carb and running great for a little bit meant you got it tuned a bit lean and started to melt you piston, and now you have low compression, so she just wont run now.
Remember when you break it down its only going to be 3 things,, spark, fuel, mechanical.
I'd start with a compression test. Very quick and easy test. Service limit in my Manual says 115psi. If you don't have a guage, then go get one. This wont be the only time you'll need one.
If thats fine then pull carb and check for water,, it will separate from the fuel, look in fuel bowl, then check for sheered pin. good luck.

Bing is right - you need air both ways - in and out. Two strokes have been known to plug up the exhaust system by oil rich mixes - doesn't happen very often, but does happen.
My first guess would be a compression problem - one quick test when you don't have a compression gage handy (as long as MAJOR problems haven't occured) is to pull the spark plug and pour a little motor oil in on the piston - this will "fill in the gaps" a little to boost compression and most times will allow it to crank
