Anyone been on any good rides this summer?

We went out the other day for what ended up being a 48 miles ride which took 6 hours to do. It was myself my girlfreind and her daughter, and a buddy on his 1996 Xpress 400. We went up to Madawaska lake here in Maine it was 75 and sunny all day.

We just got back from 2 days of riding in the Wayne National Forest in Southern Ohio. Went riding with my wife and friend and his wife. We rode about 5 hours on the first day with the women and about 7 hours without them. 12 hours of riding in one day including a 5 hour night ride. Talk about a sore butt. We took it easy on the second day and only rode about 3 hours as we were all sore. The weather was great and the trails were good.
The truly amazing thing was both Polaris's had no breakdowns and only one repair was needed (wife broke the brake handle on her trail boss when she rolled it going up a steep hill). The trail boss and my wife are ok. Maybe we will have to ride harder next time and the Polaris's will surely break then. LOL

2 weeks ago we went on more of a learning expirience than a ride. 3 four wheelers and a mid 80's Honda Big Red. About 3 miles back we dead ended on trail that had water, ruts, mud, cliff, ledge, and bugs. While turning around we noticed the Big Red had a punctured tire. vtCatamount of the Arctic Cat group used his plug kit, but the Co2 charge then blew out the side wall. It wouldn't drive because the flat tire would pull into the ruts and flip it everytime. We tried to tow but again it was impossible to steer. So we spun it around and put the rear tires on vtCatamounts 500 AC, strapped her down, bungeed the handle bars straight, and towed her back through all that "crap" on our trail.
You can read the "tow-ers" account of this in the AC group under "couldn't drag it so I carried it".
The pictures will be coming soon...
