Default Green Slime for your Tires???

Does anyone have any 2 cents to put in about Green Slime?? I am about to take a 50 mile trip down in some heavy terrain in TN this weekend. I have a plug kit but was also thinking about putting that Green Slime in my tires. Is that stuff worth buying for like 8 bucks per 24 oz bottle? From what I understand it takes 1 - 24oz bottle per tire.

Yea, I heard it can carode your inside of your rim to. I wonder what causes that wobble in the tire? Yea, maybe I better just stick with the plug kit and hope I catch the leak in time. I would hate to get stranded out there though, it's some serious terrain. You ever seen the movie "Deliverance" that place reminds of that movie. You ever see that "Unsolved Mysteries about the 2 people that were riding ATV's in TN and never were found. They found their 4 wheelers off the side of this click all burnt up, never found the guys. Rumors say that they came across someone's stash. Scary sh*t man. Thanx for the advice.

I don't think you will have any trouble with corrision from the slime. If I remember right, the bottle even say it is safe. The wobble comes from the slime sticking or settling in one spot inside your tire.

Here is how I would look at it. Your only going to using this in an emergency. If you have a plug kit try that first. Once you get out of the woods fix the tire right and mop the slime out of the tire. The stuff does work!

If you're never going to go above 40mph, the wobble won't be an issue. They do make repair kits with CO2 charges to refill the tire. I got a slice in one tire (the day I got the quad) that slime wouldn't seal but a plug did.
