I think I would probably go with a scrambler. Just to stay with the 2 stroke. Coming off a banshee, I can't hardly stay on my Sportsman.. Just waiting for the hit. The scrambler will out run the Warrior, but, if you have the money to upgrade, go with the warrior. The aftermarkets are cheaper, and there are ALOT more mods for a warrior, than a sc 400. The sc struts are a major down fall. If you trail ride alot, I would go with the sc. but if mx or xc is your desire, warrior. The scrambler is more user friendly, but out classes the warrior in power and speed. The War, is however, lighter and jumps a little better. Well, hopefully I've confused you enough to go with a scrambler. Haha. Later,

I bought the Scrambler because it was a heck of a lot faster ( 36 Horsepower for the Scrambler vs. less than 20 for the Warrior )and much easier to coax more power out of.... Plus it's a big two stroke... They make for fun riding.
If you want to modify it, a pipe and clutch kit make a world of difference, and you can get more exotic from there in small increments.
The area that I ride is open woods and logging roads with some tight sections on top of the ridges.
Besides, the local Yamaha Dealer is a ******, I wasn't going to spend my VERY HARD EARNED MONEY at that dealer...
