Joke, nothing! Rumors about transplanting the Victory motorcycle engine into a quad chassis have been circulating for some time; the ATV Connection should receive the Pulitzer Prize for the investigative journalism that brought this story, and the picture, published on the ATV Connection home page, to light.
I don't believe the article contained the release date for the new machine (April 1).
I'm surprised at how unappreciative some Forum readers appear, considering the great effort and risk obvious in producing this story about the prototype Polaris.
Yet, similar stories about innovative and developmental ATV's have been dismissed in the ATV print media, notably in the April issues of popular national ATV magazines. For example, exclusive stories about quads produced by automobile manufacturers, like Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari, were treated most unsympathetically by some readers.
I say, "thank you," ATV Connection, for informing your readership, and congratulations on your splendid journalistic "scoop."

Well fellows if this is the new offering from Polaris I will be keeping my 500 Sportsman, I just somehow in the back of my mind don't think this is the vehicle that is supposed to be the new 700cc model and if it is, if I wanted a rail buggy I would just go buy me one and save a whole bunch...

OK, they said it drove right by them, turned around, came back the other way. WHY DID THEY ONLY GET ONE PICTURE?
If I were on a banshee, 4th gear pinned going by them once, they should have got a better picture of me than what their showing ONE of that, from the vantage point, it looks as if it was within 10' of them, what a bunch of IDIOTS!
