Default Hooking up a horn: Will it work?

I have my override button disconnected so i was thinking i can hook the horn to that, and then run the wire to the battery. Will this work?

Yes this will work and is very usefull. I would recommend that you mount the horns under the front nose piece. I've tried to mount in the rear of the bike. Went through two sets of horns before moving them to the front and having no problems yet. Also you will need to use a relay so that you don't overload the switch. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Just throw the horn on the wire that used to be the override?

Do not just throw the wire on like rook said it will burn out the switch, the horn draws to many amps and needs a relay to power the horn.

Mr Toys, If its not any trouble, could you go step by step in what i do exactly? I already disabled the over ride button. I just need to know how to hook it up to the Over ride button. Do i just stick the horn wire into that empty spot that the over ride wire used to be? thanks.

AKRacer, The purple wire coming from the override is the wire that you want if you wish to use the override button as the horn button. Just splice into it. MrToys, where do you suggest putting the relay, and what type of relay should one use?
