I suppose I could show some projects .
My favorite new toy is my wind generator . I have a tower that puts a 59 inch carbon fiber set of blades 26 feet in the air . The bades are attached to a modified delco alternator .
In the shop attic I have a battery bank of six deep cycle marine batteries that store the electricity . I then run the DC through invertors and have 110 AC to run some lights and my porting bench and lathe . 90% of our portwork is done with homemade electricity .
I plan to add to this system as time allows, I find it interesting .
The generator looks kind of cool on top of the shop , it has a Jolly Roger (pirate flag - skull crossbones) for a tail , my wife painted it for me .

First I'll let you guys know I didn't guess cause Rick told me how old he was a couple weeks ago while having a Scrammy chat. I would not have been fair. Rick the wind generator sounds neat. I had thought about having a solar powered house bank in the past. Kind of an on demand system. I'm too lazy and it was too expensive to set up. Can you imagine all the brown outs and black out that could be avoided.
