Default Front hub problem

I had a leak in my front hub on my 02 SP 500 HO. I replaced the hub seal, still leaked, noticed the seal sleeve had 2 grooves cut in it. I replaced the seal sleeve and it now leaks worse than it did before. Any ideas what is wrong with it? I made sure the silicone is off the sleeve and not up against the hub seal.

First, I have to ask if you have the service manual on this machine - I would assume that since you are tackling this project you must have, but if don't have one, it would come in real handy.

Did you replace the seal again when you put the new sleeve on? - the seal from the first attempt may have been damaged by the bad sleeve.

Another possibility is that the axle nut is not torqued to specs, allowing the hub to "flop", forcing the seal to not seat properly on the new sleeve.

Yes I do have the service manual and torqued it to specs. I had wondered if the old sleeve could have damaged the seal.

My 03 did the same thing last week. I had 3 grooves cut in the seal sleave. Polaris must not know how to follow their own specs because mine came from the factory loose. POS.
