Default Scrammy low gear.

Has any one heard about the scrammy getting a low gear for 2005. My dealer told me I might want to wait till the 05's come out. He aint been right about much, so I thought that I would ask the pros. (yall).
I'd hate to waste a summer of riding and he be wrong yet again.

Nope, doesnt have one. But you can put an Eplorer trans in it. That will give you a low gear

Does the Explorer have a shaft drive to the front? And is the high gear lower, if you know what I mean? (less top speed)

The Explorer tranny will work. There a a few people on here that have done it. 425Xpedition is one of them. It is shaft drive up front and chain out back (thats why a Sportsman tranny wont work)

looks like there may be a 2 gear tooth differance internally between the scram trans. and the Xplorer so it prob won't affect top end much. there are alot of internal gear combos for tha trans avil on partsland if you wanted to make the ratios the same you could but for 98 vs 100 teeth I don't think you'll notice much speed diff.
