Matt, where do you go riding at? I just moved down this area, and all i hear about are pits. Supposedly a lot of cops here tho.

 

3 weeks after i got out of the hospital for my broken leg last year i told my mom that i was just gonna put around the yard but after she went home and i stayed at grandpas that putting aroudn that yard turned into hammering through the fields down the 3 mile stretch to my best friends house and then the 7 mile ride to my other friends house. i tryed the whole jumping deal but try to jump sitting down dosnt feel good when holdin one leg up and having to absorb the impact with one leg, ouch!! and riding in the snow sure sucked with open toes lol. burrr!!!!!!!!!!! i broke it in 3 places, both bones. 11 pins and a steel plate. i was playin football in P.E. i mean come on how tough is that. broke it on the 5 day of school of my 8th grade year, it was something like august 25 of 2002 and the pins came out jan 16 of 2004. a little over a year later. but the best parts of the whole deal was i got to ride in an ambulance, got popsicles at 3 in the morning thanks to my nurses, my mom and sister did almost everything for me, and i got to keep my pins and plate. i had 6 and a half months of recovery after i broke it and im still not fully recovered after taking the pins out. i went to the doc last week and he said i was at 80 percent. the physical theripist said that i was stronger than almost everybody she has ever seen come in after surgerys like mine. 4 weeks after the pins came out i was still suposed to have a walkin cast on but forget that i started wearin my shoes. i hated that thing. and i have been riding since the week after i had them out. i was carefull though. ttyl, scott
