Hey. I got my 400 used. I tore it down today so I can send it to get ported and the head shaved. The thing is, how can I tell if anything has been done to it already? The guy I got it from bought a complete 400 scramber and then put his 500 motor in it, then sold me the 400. He said he doesnt know what has been done to it if anything.

Any thoughts?

 

Also, do I need to send anything else other than the cylinder and the head to get done? I am also sending the flywheel.

That should be all I need to send.... right?

 

Hard to tell sometimes on the porting unless your used to looking at them. Usually there will only be small grinding marks where they match the liner to the aluminum. Other than that the aluminum will have the cast look everywhere else. The jug,head and flywheel should be all you would need to send,Bubba
