Default Starting Issues

i have a friend that has just purchased a 2004 Magnum 330 4x4 and now its running with nerly 300 miles and it hasnt started worth crap sence he bought it. then again his neighbor has a 330 magnum and it starts with the trun of the key and so does my 500 HO. what gives, could you guys help out and list some possible problems.

Sounds like a carb jet issue, if it is still under warranty just shoot it back to the dealer. My buddy's 2003 trail boss 330 was VERY cold natured. It would fire up OK, but if you touched the throttle, it would shutter and die. He took it back to the dealer and they reset the carb for free. Now it fires up great and runs smooth from the start.

If he is out of warranty a good dealer will still hook him up, but if they won't, he needs to rejet it himself.
