i already told u this like 5 times. go out and switch your sprockets wth your bros and try it out and maybe u wil like it, try just the front then just the read and then both and see what u think, u may even liek the 400 with smaller sprockets. more low end.

I think it has to do with how a motor makes power, too. The 400 can get to peak HP faster, and it probably also has a fatter powerband. Plus the 400 has more torque.
I've read on here the reed conversion adds a lot of power, too, but probably the big-bore is cheaper.

I can tell you that you are not even close to a scramblers hp. All you really have is a pipe and port. Milling does not add much hp just adds compression/low end torque. The only way you will really come close to a scramblers hp is a reed conversion. The scrammies have reeds and the 250's dont. This makes a huge difference. You dont have a carb either. The HSP only adds 7hp and bubbas porting is about 5. You only have clutch springs and not a whole clutch kit. Even a roller clutch kit gets more hp to the rear. If you wanted to do it right then you would have to go with a reed conversion, hpd race pipe, roller clutch kit, 34-36mm flatside carb and gearing. This will absolutely beat a scrambler. I am running the AAEN stage 5 kit pushing about 42hp. At least thats what AAEN says. I can beat a scrambler for a good distance but it catches me in the top and I can stay with it. Although I am geared low for trails. If I geared different I know I can beat one. I have put tons of time and money in my TB. The only reason I did it is because I got a great deal on it from the start. Otherwise I would have went with the 400. Yes I could have put my money in a quad that is already quick but I really like the ride of the TB and it fits me . I do alot of hill climbing, trail riding and occational mud. It does much better than most other quads unless it is 4x4. But even then it does very well. I used to ride a banshee for about 8yrs and just within the last 4yrs have given it up. I could not take the abuse and headaches anymore from the rough ride and it was too much for my riding style. I do miss the pure 2 stroke power but at least now I can go home after a full day of riding and still play with my kids instead of sitting in the hottub in pain. If you have the money to spend on mods the Trailblazer has huge potential but if you are young with no money and all your friends drive quicker quads you can get discouraged easily. A Trailblazer is not for someone that wants speed with no money.

welll.. my pipe was 7hp, and bubba told me the porting will add the same amount the pipe added so theres another 7hp. 14hp plus 22hp is 36hp and the 400 is making 38hp so its pretty close. also the filtercharger adds about 1 if anything. im planning on changing the gearing and getting a 400 carb. i had one on ebay but someone outbid me at the last minute so i didnt get it. what should i do to my clutching to get more hp to the ground? and what gearing should i run?
