heavy duty springs

I was thinking of putting these springs on my scrambler they seem like an affordable way to stiffen the front end I will be lowering it as well by raising the shock mounts. Is the spring what determines how many inches of wheel travel you have? those springs are designed for sportsman 600 and 700's which have 6.7in travel if i put them on my bike would i only have that much or would i still have 8.2?

 

I would guess those springs would be really stiff for a scramy. I am sure that the scram springs are a bit taller than those of my sportsman.

The stock springs on scramblers are horrible i turn in to a corner and the whole Quad dives down and starts leaning and loses all traction. I need something much stiffer but do you think those would be too stiff?

How bout the Hot Seat Duel rate springs?

 

Those would be ideal but they're $170 instead of $60 i'm tight on money right now have to get the race port and pipe and head mod.
