I dont see why they wouldnt. Thats the first time that I have heard of one of those goeing out, especially that new. Wonder why? Possibly just a junk part?

yeah,
could have been anything between the seal and the crank when it was installed or maybe it was a bad seal from the start. Have you been adding oil to the engine to make up for what is leaking into the clutch? Just wondering how much it would take to get that onto the belt!

Also make sure they replace the belt with a new one when you get it fixed.

Before this happened I had the first service done at the dealer and I checked my oil level and it was way too full. About 2 inches above the full .

If you had too much oil in the engine it could cause the seal to go south. Has your coolant level been OK? If not, I would be suspicious that coolant might be getting in the engine and causing your oil level to rise with additional fluid.

Could even be tranny fluid as well. I had some rear end work done on my Bronco were they had to replace the axle seals. I watched the guy put in two new seals and one was bad right out of the box. Dripped gear oil all over my brake shoes and drums. Bad parts happen to good people sometimes.lol
