Maybe Polaris should make a real manual-clutch lightweight Sports Quad maybe a Scrambler 650

There is no maybe about it. Actually, I would not mind just a LIGHTER machine. I love the auto, so that does not concern me. It would draw some people that would buy a another brand though, if they did make a manual.

I have got to imagine that the 400ex really hurt the scrambler sales when it came out and I imagine the raptor is going to hurt the scambler and the 400ex sales (more so to the 400ex). While the scambler is not a direct comparison to the 400/300 ex and the raptor (true racing quads to trail/racing quad), I imagine Polaris will have to do something to revive its sale. I don't expect to see anything in the 2001 models, but I would expect to see a manual shift scrambler in the next year or so. If Polaris comes out with a light, manual shift, 500cc+, atv with reverse and some decent ground clearance, I will be the first in line to buy one. Don't get me wrong, I love the automatic on my current machines, but would like to have a third atv in the speed demon category.

do you really think it will hurt Scrambler sales?
I never thought the same type of people bought ex's and Scramblers?
