the 2-strokes seem to be pretty reliable,ive had mine for almost 2 years with no engine problems at all,and most of my riding is with the throttle pinned to the bars..the pro's are they can be modded to make the 500 motor seem like a 250 and they are alot easier to work on..the con's would have to be,they might need a topend rebuild before the 500 and gas milage..

So basically if i can get a better deal on the two stroke version go for it? i do alot of trail riding and mud and in the summer i go to gravel pits and drag race my friends blaster and 300ex. I was just wondering because i have heard that 2 strokes are very un reliable. Also was is basic maitinence on a two stroke?
