Default New SP 500HO, Help!

Just purchased a new 04.5 SP 500HO and this is my first Polaris. My first quad for that matter. Took it home and parked it in the garage. Motor has less then 1 hour on it. After several days I noticed a wet spot on the floor under it. Observed antifreeze dripping from the bottom skid pan and it looks like it is coming out by the water pump. I also see what looks and smells like oil coming from upper front of the motor. The only riding I have done is a lap around the shop I purchased it from and 2 trips up and down my street after I got it home before I parked it. Is this leaking fluid normal? Did I get taken? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No DesertDuce, it is not normal for fluids to leak in anything. Take it back to the dealer and have them take a look and fix it. I have had two Polaris and nothing leaks nor should it.

You'll be happy with this machine!

Well the dealer said he would fix it or give my money back. Said he did not have another 500HO or he would trade out. Any thoughts? I do not feel good about fixing a motor that only has about 1 hour on it.

Sounds like your dealer is a fair person,I'd ask them if you had it fixed and had more problems right off, if they would offer you the same deal. After all a new machine with alot of problems could mean a bumpy road for the rest of the time you own it.Does the dealer have any 600's in stock if you decide to take it back?If your dealer is really good I'd stay with them what ever your decision.Beleive me there aren't many dealers out there that really care most are there only for the $$$$$$ and have the attitude of don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out!just my 2 cents worth--bodean
