I asked about polishing stuff the other day and it has all worked well, except my axle. I have it all cleaned up nice, but when I go to polish it it gets a dull black look to it.

Do I need to use something special?

if you are using MOTHERS polish, it is supposed to turn black when its working, once it turns black, wipe it off kindof hardly with a cloth, and it will look like chrome.
