Default Big tires for trailboss?

What is the biggest tire I can stick on a 2000 trailboss, with maybe going down one tooth on the front sprocket? I was planning on putting on 25x11x10 mudlites with the smaller front sprocket. I just want to get more ground clearance out of it, because everybody knows there not very much there at all. Any info would help.

I put 24x11x10 mudlites on my 04 Trailboss and love them. I would love to go down a tooth on the front but I can't seem to find a 10 tooth sprocket for it. If you know where I can order one from please let me know.

Thats funny that you said you couldn't find a 10 tooth sprocket for the boss.....I was looking for sprockets for my scrammy last night for about an hour and I swear that I ran across a 10 tooth for the boss...I'll have to look into it tonight though....but as for the tires..ya you will want to gear down a notch and you might want to some clutch spring mods....when you go with bigger tires its always good to back them up with more power (clutch spring, exhaust, rejet, and filter upgrade)

Default Big tires for trailboss?

I've been looking for a 12 tooth for my Boss. Just called around and got prices. There are a lot of listings for the 250 Trail Boss, but not the 325. Finally checked out Ronnie's, and got one for 14.95 plus shipping. Still cheaper than ordering stock from dealer.

I put 25x11x10 on my trailboss , it has made a world of a difference in the mud , I only lost 3 MPH , I didnt have to change anything , its all stock except for a K/N air filter , I can still get 47 MPH out of it. Its slow but not bad for a big heavy machine.

I wouldnt go much bigger then that , its already a huge jump and not to mention can put allot of strain on your motor tranny and belt.
Hope this helps you.

I have already done the jets, filter, and clutch spring. Just having a hard time convincing my wife to let me get an exhaust. She says it runs fine the way it is, LOL. I also tried the Dalton Black & white primary, but found the Hotsprings Green to work much better. I'm now looking into getting a 42 tooth rear sprocket as the 10 tooth front I can't find, and with the bigger tires the power loss is noticeable. The next question is, are the sprockets for the 325 the same as the 330? There isn't a whole lot of places that carry parts for the 330.

What tire size are you running in the front?
Are you happy with the 25 x 11 x 10 in the rear?

I need more ground clearance? I am going to buy larger tires but I do not know what size will work.
Stock fronts are -23 x 7 x 10
Stock rears are- 22 x 11 x 10

I have stock tires in the front , they work fine.

I love the 25 inch tires , now that I bought a plow for the traiboss , the 25 inch tires come in real handy , it plows like the best of them.
I have plowed up to 18 inches of snow so far with no problems.
