I tried a pink EPI spring and the orange Heelclicker spring. The orange got the RPM way up there but performance was very poor overall. The pink had a low engagement like the blue/green but a higher rate for full shiftout so it didn't really help anything. Blue/green seemed to be the best setup. Was gonna try a white spring but decided it best to go to the 20-40 and blue/green. Don't get the belt grip of the Heelclicker, but overall performance is excellent and the RPM is right on the money.
I liked being able to run over anything in high range, but just riding up a mountain road (2-3% grade) I could barley make 30mph. That was not acceptable to me. The Heelclicker was also hard on my driven clutch. The buttons broke in about 4 hrs ride time. Wish those Heelclicker guys would build a lighter (40g) weight for us up in the higher elevations.

Yes, I agree, with those elevations, Its gotta be better keeping the lighter weights in there, Im sure.
IM not sure what will be My final choice, Ill probably go back to the white ultimately, as I seemed to like it the best, its the best of both worlds, right between the orange and stock Primaries. The Rpms arent as High as with the orange, but top speed only seems about 1-2 MPH slower..Who knows.. Keep Fiddling until Im happy, Probably sometime in 2007..L

I've had no problems with my machine and have done alot of incredibly steep climbs with it. I have also done alot of pit riding around here and have been up alot of steep hills. I find it will do just about 55 on the flats but will hold 50 no problem on a slight incline upwards, and will top 55 on the downhills. I have riden with alot with a 500 and keep up no problem , he is always in the leed but I'm right there behind him always. I really love my machine and the ride is just awsome....very nice with IRS being able to line up the rocks in the trail right in the middle and just cruise over them!

What sort of temps is the Dynojet kit good for? My uncle doesn't want to be changing jets when the temp is 0 deg F. He'll be using the thing to plow in Northern Wisconsin in the winter and it gets below zero up there for weeks at a time.

The kit comes with 8 main jets to suit just about any altitude/temp range, but I don't know of any easy answer to you question. Air density plays a big part on jetting. I'm sure a medium could be found, but it requires some experimentation while keeping a close eye on the spark plug color. Of course, you'll never have optimum performance. It'd be a bit rich in the summer and lean in winter.
The best way, IMO, would be to go with the Dynojet and a Dial-a-Jet. That would keep it in the optimum range at any temp.
