PolarisRAcing,
Do you have a Scrambler 400 or 500? I may be interested in the quad, Have you got any pics online? I live in Menasha, I wouldn't mind if the engine is still tight. Thanks much.

Make me an offer I have had a couple already. It is the 400 model. Every think is new. I could easily get $2400 with a fresh motor.

my brother has a 1996 400 Express 2 stroke. It's a utility quad, but it goes just as fast as the 400 sport. Does anyone know why they quit making it. If anyone knows why i'll really appreciate it.

When the engint 'went tight', was it warmed up. I have heard of the 400s cold siezing from being warmed up too fast. It happens when the piston gets hot before the cylinder does. It happens because it takes a little while to warm up the water jacket. Doesn't have to really be rammed around either, just put under load too fast. This is worse with a new engine. Also, what kind of oil were you using. Some is not compatible with the Polaris oil in the tank & will react with it & form a kind of gummy sludge. If this happens, your engine doesn't have long to live. Just a thought
