Whats the pred hp? and what its top speed
please refer to the 05 new models with the change in the gear ratior...
and any idea if stock for stock it accelerate like my ds ??

The 05s(TLD) will accelerate faster then the 04s due to the close ratio trannny

It should out accelerate the DS stock for stock but the DS has a higher top speed.

 

closer ratio does make it accelerate faster but does it effect the top end, i mean lower it down?

 

It will not affect top speed because they only changed gears 1-4 in '05 TLD

 

2nd-4th gear are close ratio. 1st and 5th gear are still the same which will not affect the top speed at all. All close ratio means is that you are able to get the rpms up between shifting the gears, which will help you stay in the powerband more for better acceleration

I've been wondering if i should replace my ds to 05 TLD Predator...
I'm doing well on my ds, some told me ill do better on the pred cuz im only 170cm and i weigh 125 lbs...
whats your opinion??

 

The DS is a lot of machine for your size IMO

 

I guess you kindda right there...
but i like the DS speed and acceleration and it's super comfortable and a reliable machine...
does the pred that way too?

I would say make a trip to your local Polaris dealer and ask to take an 05 TLD Pred for a spin. I think you would like it

 

I have a question, is the difference in price between the troy lee edition and the regular pred worth it? I mean, is the TLD worth the extra $$$?
