Default rear sprocket guard removal?

ive heard of people taking off the rear sprocket guard to reduce rotating mass. Would this make any noticable difference in acceleration or top speed?

no you wont notice any seat of the pants difference if you take it off. but once you start removing a lot of weight you will be able to tell.

Every little bit helps. I removed mine when I got the swingarm gaurd. I also removed to brake rotor gaurd. In total it's about 7lbs you save.
