Hey fellows I just went over to my dealer and saw the new HO...Polaris made some nice improvements, I then questioned my dealer about the 40mm carb not being on it and told him that some of the guys had looked them over and that the tag said 34mm but the carb did have the 40mm. Well he told me they had checked everyone that he had come in and sure enough they had the 34 mm carb on them. He said that maybe Polaris was using up the old parts before they started putting on the 40mm carbs...so has anyone actually seen an HO with the 40mm from the factory??? I thought that I read on here somewhere that that one of the fellows had saw one that read it had the 34mm on the tag but in fact had the 40mm carb.

I think Chopperbill said he saw the 40mm on one. I think it was him.

Oh I did forget to add that I did tell my dealer that some of the guys did see the bike with the 34mm on the tag that it did indeed have the 40mm. He then assured me that they checked each carb and they were all 34mm, he said he even called Polaris engineers and asked them why they would go through all the trouble they did with the HO and not put a 40 on it...he said they wouldn't give him a straight answer, his guess was they were using up the old parts of the Sportsman original ones.

Well I guess in a nutshell that is what I am saying if I am not mistaken my dealer got in 9 HO's and everyone had 40mm carbs, unless some of the other guys on here have seen some with 40mm on them from the factory.

The tag on the handle bar states that it is 34mm the owners manuel supplement claims a 40mm. When you have your hands in 'em all day long ya don't want to tear 'em apart just for sport, so I'm going to beleive the owners manuel for now.
