400 scrambler vs. 400 EX

Default 400 scrambler vs. 400 EX

I just bought a 96 400 scrambler adn was wondering if it would out run a 400 Honda EX

Stock for stock they are pretty even. The ex might have a slight edge. But with just a pipe you'll leave the ex in the dust[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

mine is totally stock. so all i would need is a pipe. ive heard u have to re jet adn do some clutch work. what do u all need to do?

re-jet, clutch work to match the pipe you buy and maybe a different air filter.

i want a muffler that will make it louder. scramblerized on on that site right now which pipe will give me fperformance and more noise?

more noise is not always the answer. that's how riding areas get closed. just about anything from hpd, aaen or hotseat will give you a louder noise but that doesn't always equal more power.
