2punksdad - While I've not seen the new polaris 90's here's a quote from the Oct. 4 wheel ATV action, Pg 78. "It may look like it has headlights, but those are only decals. There is a rear tail/brakelight, however." Why the taillight and no headlights? Not sure but I know there is the thought that if a kids quad has headlights for daytime trail safety then it might be used at night too.

The Aeon is a good looking bike (yep, its got lights). The Green Wal-mart bike looks a lot like the Aeon, the tranny housing looks the same but I'm worried about the big price difference. I had a friend compare a Honda TRX90 to a Midwest Cheeta 90. Even though the Cheeta is a honda clone, he said the quality of parts (shocks, brakes, finish etc.) made it an unsuitable bike, nowhere near the quality of the Honda.

I got my '96 TRX90 for $1,400.00. It took a while to find and I think I got lucky. It had never been on a trail and even came with a rear rack.

JB '94 King Quad - Titan 489's
'96 TRX90 - used to be red but after todays ride both it and my son are mud colored.

jaybeecon55,

I hear what you are saying about the honda quality......I have an 86 trx 70 for my middle son (4yrs) and it is bulletproof. still has the original tires..........there is my problem........I want to garage the trx70 to save it for the new baby (well, 10 months old), so I need to get a different machine for the 4yr old. The 4yr old & the 5yr old started riding when they were 2 1/2 yrs old, and both started on the trx70 (1st gear on level ground of course)

our trail rides often run past dusk, and we need machines with lights........our LT80 has an aftermarket headlight, but no tail light..........maybe the aeon is the machine for my kids...

I wish the honda was electric start & had a light

I just bought my 7 year old daughter a 2000 Lt80 New. I tried to find a used one at a decent price, but they were close to brand new prices.

The Lt80 has no problem going up hills or going through mud (and I have it at half throttle with the limiter). I couldn't be happier with the performance. However, I do like the look of the scrambler 90. I also saw the atv at Walmart, it looks just like the Lt80. I was just worried who whould work on it for me, and the realiability.

Does the Lt80 go well in snow???? I live in Wyoming.

2punksdad,
All Polaris have a tail/brake light but there is no functonal headlight on the Sportsman 90. Hopefully they will offer it as an option sometime. You can check out the tech specs for it here: http://www.polarisindustries.com/pro...IDSSPORTSMAN90
