Paddles: trail paddles, I am sold on the ITP sand stars(I think, the newest ones....)
dragging, any strait paddle, mine work pretty well too.....but haulers or something from skat track works well too.

pipes: The best performance pipe on the market : HPD powermaxx pipe (www.hpd-inc.com)
Best bang for the buck(also a slip on) I believe 2nd best : WB/pure polaris pipe........can be found on polaris website
The HMF and yoshimera pipes are also full systems, they sound better(maybe), but I don't think they put out any more hp than the wb pipe.

Air box: You can just get a slip on K&N to go right on the carb.....if you don't want that, get a K&N for the airbox, and drill 4 1" holes in the rear of the box(make sure you drill them under the seal for the filter)......This is what I have, and it works great.

Next mod, which I highly reccommend......talk to Doug Nicholas (www.nicholascycle.com)(number on site) and send him your carb and 50 bucks, and it will come back rejetted for whatever mods you have/plan to have, and also will give you more response and power out of your carb.

for all around fun paddles, get the ITP Sand Stars. If you want to do mostly drags, get a set of 8 paddle Haulers or Hauler Extremes. For general use and nice appearence, get 20" paddles, If you want to drag and do serious jumping get 22's.

For Slip on pipes - White bros and HMF are good. I like WB since it has the adjustable disks and isn't too loud. A full system with header will add maybe 1-2 HP more. The stock head pipe is decent, I had mine Jet hot coated to reduce temps, flow better and it looks great. Purepolaris just came out with a new headpipe for '05, that may be an option too.

Airbox mod depends on wet / Dry conditions. Oregon is pretty wet IMO, so I'd leave the stock airbox on and punch some holes in it and put on Univents, TPI valves, or the Hard Rock airbox mod. Get a K&N drop in and remove the pre-filter too. Rejet.

Since you're in the dunes, best bang for the buck is a 13T front sprocket. I'd also get an aftermarket CDI - go cheap with Procom for $100 or go better with Vortex for $400.

i like and have the rath k&n intake. you get better results using your snorkle tube. you can check them out at rathracing.com as far as a pipe i like the pro circiut. and w/ jettingit all depends on the temp out side the bike itself and what altitude you will mostly be riding at. i am at 2,300 ft and for the winter i run a 175 mn. and a 55 pilot. and paddles the best are skat-trak 22-11-8 w/ 8 paddles! and skat-trak mohawks for the front!

I have a HMF full system, rejetted carb with mods, along with a custom air box mods, drop in k&n and 13 tooth front.

The power is unreal, you don't even have to got past 3/4 throttle and your hitting the rev limiter in every gear.

Haulers or ITP sand stars work well with the preds 2 stroke like power band.

I'm love my HMF you can't go wrong with any of the good pred exhausts like, WB,HPD,HMF,Yoshi.

BTW, when adding power you add extra heat as well.
A set of air scoops, inline coolers and red lines water wetter really help keep the motor running cool and making better power.

very true.......added heat can be a problem too......red line water wetter, and air scoops make a huge difference......but I also don't think you can run red line water wetter in the winter(cold temps)......

TR500......do you have any inline coolers?? I was thinking about getting one or two, or making myself a set, but I didn't know if anyone had tried them yet or not.

Right now I am running a Trinity stage 4 full exhaust, K&N filter, Rejetted for sea level but still playing with the jets to get some more out of it. If riding the dunes is what you are going. Trinity, DMC, and Yoshi full systems will give you the most power to get up the dunes. They run loud Trinity is about 108 decibels, DMC is like 110. I would get a set of nerf bars though. Im not sure if the 05 TLD comes with them or not. But I have had a few friends that broke there foot or ankle because they slipped of the peg.
