Default Sportsman 500 Pulled by an Outlander 400

When I was shopping earlier this year for my Outlander, every dealer I visited said that they actually hooked the 2 quads together and the Outlander pulled the sportsman 500 around.

I don't see how this could be possible. The 500 is heavier and has much more power.

I expect that a sportsman would pull my Outlander easily.

Why do you think all these dealers are saying this?

Thanks.

I highly doubt it. Dealers will tell you anything to sell a product. A lot of times they are clueless about the product they sell. It is best to be educated on the machine that you are looking at because some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths is crazy!. That goes for car dealers too!

I know for a fact that a polaris 325 can pull a honda 450 like a paper weight. So I double that an outlander can pull a 500

Why in the world would anyone with a lick of sence hook 2 $5000 plus quads hitch to hitch and floor the the throttle ?

Why risk tearing one up or getting someone hurt ?

I must be getting old because it seems so foolish to me ...

Hi guys
I have saw my grandfathers traxter 500 pull a polaris 6x6 all over. Up here in polaris country when somebody has a different machine the like to see whos better. So this guy who my grandpa knows wanted to see what the traxter could pull so they hooked a chain to each hitch and went.I was amazed at what I saw the 6x6 was spinning and hopping all over and the traxter just squatted down and pullled it forward. On the topic of a outlander pulling a sportsman 500 My dad has a magnum 500rmk and I just picked up outlander aweek ago so we had a pull off also to see what would happen both wheelers just sat there and spun the tires. The outlander should not be nocked for thinking its under powered its not, it will run with the competitions bigger machines. Just though I would chime in on this subject.

I know a friend who saw a friends dad tri-cycle out pull a big wheel the other day. And there was a 250 lb man on the big wheel and the tri-cycle dragged him every where............If you really want to know the truth behind this, do the pull yourself. Don't go on "a friend of a friend who knows this man who owens this did this...." that is silly. If you really need to know, you do the pull. But, why does it really matter????
