Default Has anyone built there own accesories for sportsmans?

Just wondering if you guys could post pics of any brushgards, bumpers, guards, skidplates, or anything else you've built. I have an old brushgaurd from a Ford Ranger I'm going to cut down (wont take much) to put on my sportsman. And maybe make some tube bumpers for hers, then some aluminum cv/ stick guards for both. Anyother idea would be aprecitated.

Thanks, Jeff

I'm think of 3/16 alum diamond plate, i was looking at making it go from the front to just behind the oil/cooling lines. I 'm think that would help keep the rocks and muck from building up in the front.

what happens is that when the motor is hot, and you run in water...the engine cools dramaticly by the radiator cooling down....water condenses and it will draw muddy water into the weep hole...which in turn will eat at your water pump seal

quick fix is take a grease fitting and file the top enough to get the little check ball out....carefully screw this into the cap, use a little silicone for sealant.....shouldn't have to do any enlarging if you size the grease fitting right....

then take some tygon tubing and slip it on the fitting, and route it up into the tank area, with a downturn at the top to keep anything out of it....

.oh yea, slip a small plastic tie around the tygon at the fitting to ensure that it will stay put........

.I can email you a pic if you like
