Default 250 trailboss gas leak

I just picked up a 1996 250 Trailboss for my son in great condition for $1000.00 It runs great but a couple of times after we park it for a while it will leak gas onto the garage floor. It looks like its coming straight from the carb. This is the first Polaris we have owned so I was wondering if these are know for any kind of carb problems. It sat for long periods of time with the previous owner so I'm wondering if it has hard gas in the carb making the float stick. It runs excellent when we are riding though.
Thanks

It,s probably the needle and seat they can become worn over time and let alittle gas seep by bieng that it has been sitting for a while I would take the carb off and clean it real good make sure the float is set right if it still does it its probably the needle and seat
