Default was polaris the right choice?

For the sake of comparison, check out the Kawasaki forum. Look at how many people have had electrical problems with their Prairies. The 4X4 actuators are prone to failure, and the swingarm bearings need replacing on a regular basis if you do any mud riding. Then there's the Honda's Rincon. It's their flagship machine, yet it doesn't have a low range and doesn't have a locker in the front. And Yamaha? Their flagship ride, the Grizzly, has been plagued by vapor lock issues due to excessive heat buildup, weak axles, and the machine itself is a little tippy.

No need for buyer's remorse. Your Sportsman is a kick-butt quad. Mine has been ridden hard, yet has never left me stranded. My Prairie has already spent 4 weeks in the shop.

If you read any of the brand forums they all have their problems. This is my first quad had it for a year now and I'm glad I got the Polaris. Best AWD system bar non, best ride, best looking, best brakes, I can't say enough about my HO........

Thanks for the reply. I was referring to the fact that it doesn't have high and low, you just drive and if you need the power at low speed, it just stays in a lower gear. Anyway, I am feeling better already. Thanks again

I think people come here to get help because most people here are willing to do just that.... help.

As for myself, I've had a two Polaris machines and neither has ever failed me or had to go back to the dealer.... for anything!

We have seven Polaris quads in my family, from a '93 350L 4X4 to the 2003 TB. None of them have had any problems that weren't caused by the owners.
My only complaint with Polaris is that they are heavy! But maybe that's why they're so tough.

You know coonass500ho i asked my self the same question when i bough my first sportsman... it hasnt let me down yet so i guess it has been. i bought my sprotsman because i like all the features, and dont worry so much about it breakin down all quads do it just depends on how you ride them. look over at the honda forum there are HONDAS that dont start.. dont get me wrong hondas are stone cold reliable but there are still those few that dont wanna start or run right.
